MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
Mixed Martial Arts is a sport in which a combination of striking, wrestling and grappling techniques are all combined to gain a superior position and eventually a submission over your opponent... the truest test of a complete martial artist! It is not the stongest, fastest or smartest but rather the most adaptable who survives.
Wrestling reperesents one of the oldest forms of combat, added to the Olympics in ancient Greece in 708 BC (cave drawings of wrestling date back to 3,000 BC!). It involves techniques such as clinch fighting, trips, throws, takedowns and joint locks. In present day MMA, wrestling is the glue that holds your whole game together.This is why we place such a strong emphasis on wrestling.
Also known as the art of eight limbs, Muay Thai is a striking art from Thailand that uses fists, elbows, knees, shins and a variety of clinching techniques. We can teach you to become proficient with all your tools, also teach you the importance of distance and timing. This type of training also promotes a fantastic physique and incredible stamina.
Boxing is much more than striking with your fists. The "sweet science" is a discipline in which footwork, strength, speed, reflexes, endurance and will are all tested.
